Description
This relay is 5 pin, square in shape, and has diode in it. It is used for starter, brake and fuel system circuits on many Harley Davidson models. A rough guide line would be 1991-2008 Touring, 1993-2004 Sportster, 1995-1999 Dyna, Softails and Buell’s. If you have a square 5 pin relay this is the one.
The diode in this relay is to ensure that any transient voltage spike is suppressed when the relay operates. This is important for bikes with Fuel Injection and ECM’s.
