Description
KT Components Sofspension. These were manufactured by Pro Stock driver Ken Thurm. The Sofspension replaces the stock dual shocks with a torsion bar and single-shock setup. The torsion bar is mounted where the stock swing-arm pivot shaft used to be, and the shock mounts in place of one of the coil-overs. these worked well.Torsion bars can react much faster than a shock spring allowing for a nicer ride.
The bike can be raised or lowered with this suspension using a 5/8″ wrench. There were 3 different torsion bars available, this one I believe is the medium one, which will work for 2 up riding. These were originally $800.00 in 1999.
This fits 1986 to 1999. 2000 up has different shock mounting in the front.
This was installed on someone’s project, but never used. (project was never finished)
NOTE!! Looking at the b&w picture I noticed that the clamp and linkage that the arrow points to is currently missing. I know I have seen it and have it somewhere, but you should consider it missing and NOT included. This isn’t a big deal as you can fabricate a link and way to mount it pretty easily. Should I find it, I will update this.
This is a “one off, special stock” part meaning there is one and one only.
